The 2014 Marathon is over 7 days with a lay day midway through. The dates are the 16th to the 22nd of March 2014 so pop these in your diary now. The tour will start on Sunday morning and finish on Saturday night allowing for our distant friends to travel on the weekends.
We are spending at least two nights in Cromwell so we can have a look around the new race track and give you the chance to spend some money enjoying what it has to offer.
We are going south again and this year will be plotting on both gravel and seal. For the 2012 tour we plotted entirely on seal after feedback from some members (who did not do the tour as it turns out) and provided map only gravel alternatives. Interestingly everyone used the gravel alternatives so for the 2014 tour, we not plotting the alternate sealed routes but will indicate where they need to be used to avoid the gravel.
The tour is starting in Rakaia with the first night in Waimate, the second in Twizel, with two nights in Cromwell. We then have an overnight in Mosgiel, Oamaru with the finish in Ashburton. Entries close 31st January, 2014.
